GreenZap Pt. 2..

Seems like the GreenZap thing can be pretty cool..

Move Over ... PayPal...GreenZap is similar to PayPal but BETTER because GreenZap focuses on customer service and rewarding members for expanding the GreenZap community.

Where PayPal only rewards you $5.00 for the one person you personally refer, GreenZap will reward you for anyone and everyone who stems from you.

That means you’ll find an additional $5.00 to $30.00 in your GreenZap account every single time someone signs up that you referred, or, they referred…or they referred…or they referred, or… you get the point.

Simply go here:

Promo Code: b08o

Remember the more you tell the more they reward you.

And it cost you absolutely NOTHING to give away money....

Happy Zapping!

Move Over PayPal

GreenZap is coming to steal some of your mojo. They even give people $25 for signing up. I just signed up myself..and there's no catch. No fees, etc. Just a straight sign up. I want to see what this is about so I'll wait till June. I can't stand PayPal anyways. The Customer Service sucks.

Help expand the GreenZap community.

With a GreenZap account, you can send money to anyone. And once they open their account, they’ll find a little something from us to get them started — $25 free. And to show our appreciation, we’ll reward YOU for getting them going. Check out our GreenZap Overview to learn more about what’s in it for you.

Day 2: Bobo without a Computer

Yes, I'm on Nok's Computer. He's ironing his clothes at damn near Midnight. I think it's those pills..

Anyways, nothing new. The Computer is still in the shop and wont be out until I get the cash to get it out. To top things off, I don't have a cell phone either..For the moment. I'm waiting for Cingular to send my alt. Phone. I needed a Cingular Sim card since I still had a At&t Sim and Cingular no longer carries At&t phones.

I think Daiquiri is bringing Irulan by. It's been about a Month since I last saw her..them. I'm cutting back on driving cos my car is acting funny. Rattling under the car means a bad Catalytic Converter. A bad Cat, and the bad O2 Sensor. Gotta replace that too. Smog time is almost here and I know the Car will fail.

I've got to talk to the Manager at Rite Aid on Friday. I hope I get a jizzob there. I've gotta save up loot for that move in August. I'm giving Elika Money I earn [not all of it cos I do have other expenses] so I can save it for the move. No, I'm not skipping town. Nok is going to Fricso and I wanna get my own place..or a place with Daniel. If I don't give Elika the loot, it'll be spent on numerous impulse buys. No good..

Speaking of Elika, she wasn't feeling well today. She called me earlier. She left work early and now she has to work on her day off. She was gonna come over on her day off [Thursday] but plans are cancelled. She's coming by sometime this weekend tho. We usually chill, or play Midnight Club 3, eat, etc etc. Nothing too special, but it's good times. Things are going really well w/ her. I'm really glad things worked out and we both are on the same page, and looking forward.

And in comes the income Tax refund

I only got about $270. What's the first thing I do? Go to Amazon and look for Digital Cameras. I searched for a good 45 minutes and finally decided to get this one. A nice Kodak. What got me was the price and the features. Video recording isn't limited like other Cameras. I might need to record a bit of video at E3.

So after that purchase, my next purchase was this. A Nice 512 mb SD card. That should hold about 3 hours of video even tho I wont record 3 hours of video. I'll be taking more pictures than video. I'm just happy that I finally got a good Digital Camera and not some lame Camera Phone.

Finally, I got a phone that was on sale at Cingular for $29.99. I needed another phone because my old one has the At&t Sim Card. I sold the old phone I had [Motorola V80] to Daniel. He hasn't paid me yet, but he says he will after he pays bills. He's going to Cingular to get his phone turned on soon. All I have to do is call Cingular when my $29.99 Sony Ericsson with only 4k colors comes and I'm ready to go. The Boost Mobile phone I was using just doesn't cut it. That Prepaid is like the worst. It's cool for Internet and Direct Connect, but that's about it.

Now since all this is done, I've gotta get some baby stuff. ]=

The good looking but bad, and the sexy..

I'll keep this short since I really don't want to get carried away with this post. I went and got WM21 for a measley $1.99. I got home, and played the game for a few good hours. It wasn't terrible, but wasn't as enjoyable as the experience I had with say...Midnight Club 3?

The game is buggy, it feels clunky, and my own CPU controlled tag team partner, Booker T, wouldn't tag me. I had to do all the tag matches by myself. Lame. The game coulda been headed in the right direction but it just..wasn't.

Daniel comes over. He wants to go to Best Buy. I tell him "Let's stop by Blockbuster first." We head over to Blockbuster and I trade WM21 [the poop] in for Psychonauts [well it was an even exchange].

Psychonauts is soooo much better. The game is great! I've put a good hour and 1/2 into the game so far. That was a better experience than the one I had with WM21 a few hours prior. I'll definitely be playing more of it tomorrow. I even missed a night of Midnight Club 3 on Xbox Live to play Psychonauts. It's that good.

I might post more about the game tomorrow as I get more playtime with it. Until then..

Wrestlemania 21: A huge disappointment?

IGN gave it a 6/10. That's worse than Raw 1 and Raw 2. Then again, the Reviewer was obviously biased towards Sony. Here's something from TXB Forum:

Well, I'll put my two cents in right now. I could really give a crap about IGN's review. After reading the review IGN put out, it seems like Mr. Clayman has never played a wrestling game before in his life! I'll breaki it down real quick without sounding to "bradish":

IGN: "Presentation - The intros and special moves are spot-on. The menu system is difficult to navigate and the game chugs during transitions. = 7.5"

And his gripe is that "instead of previewing each item as it is selected, players have to choose the item and view it separately. Eventually, popping in and out of these menus became so tedious that it wasn't worth the trouble of adding extra details to the character." Which is pretty much the same in the previous Raw 2. This guy is crying because pressing Y doesn't let u preview the CAW changes you make & instead has to press B to look then press A to go fix it if he doesn't like it? WOW! One extra button too much? Please... Raw 2 gets an 8.0 though?

IGN: "Graphics -The player models are exceptional and animations are very realistic. This is one good-looking game. = 8.5"

Fine, but to me, I think WM21 deserves a better or same score as Raw 2, which received a 9.0? Thatz ok, I won't ***** over 0.5 points lol...

IGN - "Sound - Official wrestler themes and custom soundtracks counteract the outdated licensed music and poor voice-over work. = 6.0"

DUDE! How can DOR and SD vs. RAW get a 7.0 when they both have the exact same music??? SD barely HAD commentary and DOR didn't even try. Plus, the beauty of Xbox is being able to play custom soundtracks for CAW themes and, if this same bastard is right, during your match. I honestly would prefer listening to Disturbed while I powerbomb the **** out of Triple H instead of Public Enemy's Bring the Noise 54 times.

IGN: "Gameplay - The grappling system feels frustrating even with the addition of counters. This is due to the numerous issues concerning poor A.I. and collision detection. = 5.0"

Ok, this is a little more difficult to talk about considering I haven't had extensive hands-on experience. In the review, the ***** whines about A.I. glitches where "this first became apparent in career mode when a third wrestler entered the arena and teamed up with my opponent. While one character continued to fight, the extra wrestler circled the ring aimlessly." Now, unless my Xbox is really ****ty, that happened to me in Raw 2 once in a blue moon in which, first of all, my own enemy would help me kick the **** out of whoever I'm fighting, or just run in a circle if there were a lot of things happening at once in the ring. My friend also speaks about slow movement, which has always been typical for Raw and Raw 2. Mr. Clayman doesn't define slow however. Slower than...? Smackdown? Of course! What wrestler 20min. into a match throws 50 haymakers in a course of 20 seconds??? Smackdown is known for being fast and arcadish when it comes to striking. Thatz the only way you don't notice the ****ty PS2 graphics (low blow, sorry). His "collision detection" complaints are regarding "missing with an elbow drop doesn't just result in a bruised ego; it causes your character to writhe in pain for a few seconds leaving him vulnerable to a rebuttal." Hmmm... so he wants the character to get up a second later after flying off the top rope and slamming onto the mat from 15ft in the air. VERY believable. Now, to give Raw 2 a 9.0 for the same A.I. issues, giving DOR an 8.0 for the same collision detection issues, and giving WM21 a 5.0??? WHAT DA FFFFFFF...

IGN: "Lasting Appeal - There are a good number of gameplay modes and there is also online play, but these are both negated by the disturbing gameplay issues. = 6.5"

Hmmm... now, what this guy is saying is besides the smooth online play, assortment of gameplay modes, great graphics, custom soundtracks & an extensive career mode, a 6.5 is all you can give because you didn't take off enough points in the GAMEPLAY rating section??? Raw 2 = 9.0, DOR = 8.5.... i honestly thought DOR had a great story to it and should've gotten a higher score than that. But to give this game a 6.0 overall, I believe IGN ran out of writers and had this schmuck play this as his first wrestling game ever while he was in the middle of playing Halo 2. You get the dude upset while he's playing Halo 2... not a pretty site.

Sorry so long, guys... Hope I will be forgiven this time. I just wanted to point out once again to everyone here and "mature" ex-admins that reviews don't count for ****. Come over to Blockbuster & rent it if you want, but just check it out b4 u bash it b/c of some assclown's pointless review.

My thoughts? Why can't we get a damn decent Wrestling game? I might get it anyways. I'm waiting on Game Spot's as well as Team Xbox's Reviews.

Bobo no longer a single Man

That's right. I'm in a relationship once again. Who's the lady? Elika. We've talked this thru and we're both Adults now. I'd honestly rather be with her than any other chick. She understands me, she's a Gamer, and we share similar interests. I've known her for almost 4 years [and was with her for 3 years]. We got back together yesterday. I feel great..

Daniel has broken up with Nery, his gf [off and on like Elika and I] of 6 years. They just have different views and opinions. Totally respectable. I guess Nery wanted to settle down and stuff but Daniel isn't ready for that. I think Nery is right for Daniel. She's been there for him. What does Daniel think? Who knows. Nery is a great gf tho IMO.

Anyway, I haven't talked to or heard from Daiquiri. I talked to her for a brief moment one time last week and that was it. I don't have a Cell Phone anymore. Just a Boost. I'll try calling tomorrow. Sleep time.

Is Wrestlemania 21 worth the $50?

THQ has ordered that no Reviews of the game come out until after the game releases. Hearing that alone kind of scares me. If the game sucks, it'll still sell but only to the hardcore Wrestling fans. If the game doesn't suck, it'll sell regardless.

I guess I'm not surprised. I knew Studio Gigante was over their heads.

For that poster who mentioned this news was similar to what happened with Ninja Gaiden; NG reviews were out before the game came out. They appeared on the Friday before. I remember seeing them all come out at once.

I guess I'll rent first to see if the game is up to snuff. If it isn't I'll go buy another copy of the PS2's Smackdown Vs. RAW or even Here Comes The Pain. TH*Q has to at least get Yukes to program the game. Of course, there is that lawsuit the WWE filed against them over an illegal or misleading contract and are trying to get out of it. I know the WWE wants a contract with EA for their Aki engine and their publishing juggernaut.

GameSpot Interviews Peter Moore on Next Generation Xbox

Q&A: Peter Moore on marketing the next Xbox

Xbox marketing boss tells why the new console gets it's first unveiling on MTV--and what Microsoft is saving for E3.

In 1999, Sega used the MTV Video Music Awards to introduce the Dreamcast to US audiences. The man behind that effort? Peter Moore, then marketing boss for the US subsidiary. The following year, the VMAs were the chosen platform to give the Sega.net initiative standing with the coveted gamer demographic. Again, it was Moore who spearheaded the effort.

This year, Moore, now part of the massive Xbox team at Microsoft (he is Corporate vp of Worldwide Marketing and Publishing) has once again chosen MTV as the primary vehicle for introducing a new product to the North American marketplace--this time the next-gen Xbox.

We spoke with Moore earlier this week.

GameSpot: Peter, how does a deal like this evolve?

Peter Moore: A year ago my team and I sat down to try and figure out how we bring this platform to life, not only to the trade show crowd at E3, but more importantly, to the tens of millions of people that have got us to where we are today with Xbox. And the tens of millions of more that are going to join us in the next generation.

We discussed how do we do it in an entertaining way, in a constructive manner, and unexpectedly. And how do we do it with a great partner, and do it simultaneously, globally. And tie in music and celebrity, and all that cool stuff.

GS: So you picked MTV…

PM: As you might remember, in my past life, I worked with MTV on a regular basis, using the VMA's as a launch platform for one particular console.

So I went to see my old friends there in April of last year; we got into some great conversations about an entertaining way to do this. We've been working on this ever since.

Only a few weeks ago, finally got all the details nailed down and felt comfortable in announcing this at the right time and the right place, and that's what we did last week.

GS: Does this send a message that E3 isn't as big as it used to be--as a platform to broadcast news to the game industry?

PM: Not at all. Not at all.

We have so much to say. We wanted to say things first to the consumer, and give them a sneak peek--albeit in a 30-minute television show--that will give them a peek under the tent of what's going on and allow them to see it at the same time as the rest of the world does.

GS: What's left for the E3 audience?

PM: Then on the Monday night, May 16, we do a real deep dive and will show the games in their full glory--getting into more detail in the Rob, J and Peter show [Robbie Bach, J Allard, Peter Moore].

And, of course, then on the E3 show floor itself…where we can really show you the power of the platform.

GS: What grade do you give Xbox, version one, in the area of marketing and advertising?

PM: I'd say a B. One of the things that probably stopped us from being an A- is, [even though] we created a very cool and aspirational brand, we need to broaden the appeal of the brand. Not losing, or disenfranchising in any way, the gamers that got us there today--which is always a marketing challenge--but we have to grow.

But at the same time, we need to make sure we continue to talk to the more hard core gamer, the early adopters. That has been an important part of our success, and we fully intend to do that. At the same time, we need to provide an even more approachable feel and tonality to the brand, and we need to do things differently.

GS: Is there an area you feel Xbox excels at?

PM: We're the thought leader in this generation. We need to turn that into market leadership in the next generation, and this is just one small example of how we will do that, and do that in a very aggressive manner, globally.

GS: Is there a little bit of cat and mouse with Sony behind this move--to show off the new console the week before E3?

PM: Not really.

GS: Not really?

PM: A number of people have asked me: "was this in response to Sony moving their press conference and getting first place for the unveil?" I don't know. As I said, regardless of what our competition wants to do, we had a very clear plan in mind that goes back a year now to meetings in New York at the MTV headquarters.

GS: Is it a two way street with MTV…any upside for them?

PM: We are very important to them. We're starting to drive an entertainment business that rivals music. As Nielsen reported two weeks ago, consumers are spending more money on video games than they are on music. That wakes people up.

But you have to have your own strategy and you've got to stick with it once it's nailed down. This is part and parcel of a strategy that's been in development over fifteen months now.

GS: How many people are you expecting t reach with this MTV effort?

PM: We haven't put any metrics behind it, but clearly you want millions upon millions of people to see it. I certainly think that with MTV, we should get those numbers.

What I've always been impressed with--and my consumer marketing hat goes on here--is how they've changed their entire persona to the outside world, from a network that just broadcasts three-minute video music clips to being the originators of reality television with Real World, and Pimp My Ride, and MTV Cribs, and Meet the Osbornes; when you think of all the stuff on TV right now, it was born on MTV--someway, somehow. Celebrity Deathmatch, Jackass…

GS: This is the Xbox audience?

PM: I think that they are a major part of the generation that is part of Xbox nation, yes.

GS: You called the MTV program a "first look." What are you going to talk about?

PM: We'll talk name. We'll show the hardware--as much as you can do in a television show. You'll get a little glimpse of games, but we're saving most of that for you guys at E3.

GS: Is the MTV event all figured out?

PM: We're still developing the script, if we can find ways to talk entertainingly about features, we will do that, but we won't do anything that is boring or feels like an infomercial.

GS: You talked about 'you guys,' by which you mean the enthusiast press. Who's got the power now to best communicate your message? The enthusiast press? The mainstream press?

PM: Particularly in the early go, the enthusiast press still has the ability to create the stories that talk to the evangelists. But let's make no bones about it, it's not you, me, or anyone...it's the consumer that has the power. It's the guy that had to fish several hundred dollars out of his or her wallet when they want to make a purchase on a console--and over the lifetime, total cost of ownership, several hundred dollars more. Those are the people that are in control, and we've got to find ways, we--and I mean you and I--have got to find ways of talking to them in a relevant and entertaining manner, otherwise they're not going to read your stuff and they're not going to buy my stuff.

GS: What's the connection with The Killers, the musical group in attendance on the May 12 MTV broadcast?

PM: A: We love them; B: They've been on Game with Fame, on Xbox Live. They are hard core Xbox gamers--and very good gamers. I can't think of a hotter band right now. I've been listening to their album Hot Fuss for about six, seven weeks on my MP3 player as I run. I love Mr. Brightside. I think they have the right attitude.

GS: And what happens to Ourcolony.net on the night of May 12?

PM: Don't know. Don't know. Have to keep watching that thing. I'm not quite sure about that thing. It's difficult for me to follow...I'm from a different generation. It's way too complex.

GS: Ah yes, Peter...way to complex [wink, wink]. Thank you, Peter. We'll be watching.
